What we’ve been up to

table set up for men's mental health event

It’s been a busy time for us here at Family First. We’ve done lots of networking including attending:

The Connect Conference  – a chance for staff from statutory services and clinicians to come alongside the VCFSE sector to improve the health and wellbeing of our communities.

The Early Years Showcase Event – we celebrated and shared updates in the world of Early Years. Some great networking made and access to lots of new resources to share with families.

Job Centre volunteer fair – this was a really busy event held at the Town Hall in Ipswich for the public to find out what volunteering opportunities are available.

Men’s Mental Health Day Event – this event at The Hold was a combination of stalls, workshops which challenged our thinking around men’s mental health.

We are also keeping our skills and knowledge up to date. Service Lead, Sarah, attended a fantastic Designated Safeguarding Lead Training where she refreshed her knowledge and was updated on the latest new resources.

As a team, we are attending a Mental Health First Aid course on Monday 27th November which was kindly funded by MANUP?

Lots more planned for the New Year. Watch this space…….
