Working together with University of Suffolk

Tables for organisations around the room and students looking around and speaking to different stallholders

We have made strong links with the university who are supporting us to find suitable volunteers. One way in which they do this is to invite us to  events to meet students.

Last week we attended the “Your future with psychology career event”  where a variety of services showcased the opportunities available to students.

It was a great day and we met lots of  people – both students and other stallholders. Service Lead Sarah had a good conversation with Annie Clements and looked at ways that Family First and Autism and ADHD could work together to better support families. We are excited to see what comes of this.

We chose Charlie to volunteer at this event with Sarah as he is currently studying Psychology with the OU. We benefitted from Charlie’s support at the  event and Charlie was able to access helpful information for his own progression. That’s what I call a win win!
