We were invited to join a host of stallholders at the University of Suffolk jobs and volunteer fair on 16/03/2023. We spoke to lots of students and staff keen to find out more about what we do and how they can get involved. We also met lots of other stallholders and learned about the services and opportunities they are offering in Ipswich.
Meeting with staff members also gave us the opportunity to look at different ways we can support each other. One staff member said that she had really struggled to find volunteering opportunities that “had a bit of meat to them” which could provide real experience and learning for the students. She felt that Family First were a great match for some joined up working.
We look forward to hopefully seeing some of the students joining our team and supporting us in a variety of ways including help with fundraising, social media and publicity.
